PARISH LIFE

Fellowship is an important aspect of Christian life at Saint Stephen’s. Opportunities with various ministries in the weekly activities of the parish, such as the acolytes, the Altar Guild, lay Eucharistic ministers, greeters, cooks, and the choir offer a wonderful sense of “church family.” Christian fellowship is also enjoyed in group gatherings such as picnics, ECW, supper and social groups, retreats, and outreach projects.  Though we are one of the largest churches in the diocese, many agree we still have that “small- church feel.”

We are blessed with leaders in many fields, such as health and social services, the arts, business, law, labor, and the retired community. Our parishioners recognize that we must all be ministers if this parish is to come to its full potential, and many at Saint Stephen’s give enormously of their time and talents to the church. We enjoy being together as a family, and our many activities reflect this connection as we share our spiritual journeys. Some examples are detailed below.
